what will happen if xanax is taken for 5 yrs(or lifelong)???

The dosage might be too low.
Xanax for life you would be addicted and it won’t have much affect after a while and when you come off it you will get the shakes(worsening anxiety)

It will lose it’s affect. I’ve been on clonazepam for about five years now and when I tried to come off it I got really sick physically. Benzos are highly addictive and should be avoided for long term use.
